E14 Ceiling Lights

Here are some frequently asked questions by our customers

What exactly *is* an E14 ceiling light?

E14 refers to the fitting size of the bulb itself. It’s also known as a Small Edison Screw fitting, and the number 14 refers to its diameter in millimetres. E14 bulbs are smaller than the more common E27 (Edison Screw) variety, which are 27 millimetres in diameter. If you already have E14 bulbs, then you’ll need to select an E14 ceiling light fitting to ensure compatibility.

What styles of E14 ceiling lights are available?

You’ll find all sorts of styles, from semi-flush ceiling lights to chandeliers and pendant lights. When it comes to choosing a style, think about the overall feel and look you’re going for. Our E14 ceiling lights feature finishes such as antique brass, chrome, and black chrome, and use materials like glass, metal, and fabric.

Where is the best place to position a ceiling light?

More often than not, ceiling lights are positioned in the centre of the room, as this ensures even light distribution. They can also be used to create a focal point, although you might want to use a dimmer switch if you plan on using it in a room where you intend to relax.
