What's the difference between festoon and LED strip lights?

Festoon lights consist of multiple bulbs – like fairy lights, but bigger – strung along a cable at intervals. They give off a warm, inviting glow. LED strip lights, on the other hand, are flexible circuits with small LED lights embedded along their length. These are great for mood lighting or adding a bit of a wow factor.

Are your outdoor festoon lights waterproof?

Many of our outdoor festoon lights are weatherproof or waterproof – look out for “IP44”, “IP65” or “IP67” in the product title or description to see how resistant they are. It's worth noting that "weatherproof" and "waterproof" have slightly different meanings and not all of our festoon lights can be left out in all types of weather.

Can I control the colour of LED strip lights?

Yes, many of our LED strip lights allow you to adjust their colour. With RGB (red, green, blue) LED strip lights, you can create millions of colour combinations. The colour of some LED strip lights can be changed using a remote control, while others can be controlled through a mobile app or with voice commands.
